We were destined to be experts at this!
In
addition to being a registered nurse and lawyer, Margaret Faux
is married to a specialist Rehabilitation Physician with few skills,
and even less interest, in managing his billing services. It was
2000 before she finally decided to act and took over the job of
managing all his private billing, initially on only a short term
basis. Four years later, Margaret was still in the role. Not only
that, she’d found she was continually being approached by other
Medical Practitioners who wanted the same service that simply wasn’t
available to them. In early 2004, Margaret decided to remedy the
situation. She joined forces with Barbara Wood and Pulse
Medical Management was launched.

Margaret
Faux
trained as a registered nurse in South Australia and worked in many
hospitals around Australia during the 1980s and early 90s. After
more than a decade of nursing, Margaret embarked on a career in law,
specialising in litigation and family law. She continues to spend
some of her personal time providing free legal advice at a community
legal centre in Sydney.

Barbara Wood
trained and practiced as a registered nurse in one of the largest
teaching hospitals in NSW. In 1990, she left the public health
sector and began working in the insurance industry, specialising in
personal injury claims management. By 1997 Barbara was in charge of
one of NSW’s major compulsory third party claims departments. More
recently she was the Operations Manager of the HIH Claims Support
Scheme, responsible for administering the Australian Government’s
rescue scheme for those affected by the HIH collapse. |
